I am inspired by the tradition of oil painting 'en plein air'. Painting directly from nature allows me a spiritual connection to the land and constantly changing possibilities for artistic expression. By painting what I see and feel, my paintings contain an authentic sense of place, and also express artistically the experiences I encounter on location. I would like to share with the viewer the beauty, peace and serenity I find out in the natural world. Their creation has allowed me an intimate connection to this time and to these vanishing places.
