Each day painting 'en plein air' is an exciting challenge trying to capture the ever-changing play of light and shadow.

Although I have painted since I was a child growing up in Florida, oil painting became my avocation after many years of pursuing my career in corporate advertising in Washington, D.C. and Seattle, Washington. Using nature as inspiration, I now devote my full time to painting. My goal is not to duplicate the scene, but to give the viewer the sense of actually being in the beautiful landscape.
